Zildjian K Constantinople Bounce Ride

K Constantinople cymbals provide a dark, warm sound reminiscent of the Zildjian Cymbals made in Turkey in the first half of the 20th Century. Resurfacing in the 50s and 60s, “Old K’s” featured in set-ups of bebop era vanguard drummers, such as Elvin Jones. Resurfacing again in the 21st century, K Constantinoples are hand lathed by skilled craftsman, using vintage cutting tools and techniques.

This cymbal, designed in conjunction with Jazz legend Kenny Washington produces a pitch that can ride over the band and cut through most small to big band settings! As well as the traditional K Constantinople hammering, this cymbal has more pronounced lathe/tonal grooves and produces plenty of sustain and wash. With a series of eight “cluster” over-hammered marks on top, this cymbal has just the right amount of trash and “dirt”.
